The Columbia River Gorge offers some of the most spectacular natural locations in the continental United States. From hidden waterfalls to sweeping mountain vista views, the trails along the Gorge will provide something amazing for every nature loving geocacher.
With the heavy annual rainfall and subzero winter temperatures we receive, the challenge for the hider is placing a secure weatherproof container. The life expectancy of an altoid tin is less than a season in these harsh conditions. We love our ammo cans and lock'n'locks. With few exceptions count on a micro giving you a fun and creative hide.
The next time you are travelling thru the Columbia River Gorge stop and smell the fir trees. For a taste of the Pacific Crest Trail, there are geocaches located on both sides of the river. Located where the PCT crosses from Washington into Oregon near Cascade Locks, OR and Stevenson,WA. For a drier time enjoy a more temperate climate at the east end of the Gorge.
